Eichman Exchange will be a dual-purpose establishment. The revitalized building will feature a vibrant destination food hall on the ground floor and four upscale residential units on the upper level. On the exterior, the building will need a total makeover, including removal off current siding, addition of all new brick on the front façade with additional tuckpointing/repairing of the side and rear brick of the building. All new windows, doors, and storefront glass will be installed to bring back life to this building in need of major repair. The balconies that were added will be removed to revert back to the original historic design of large picture windows with a view of our limestone courthouse. On the interior first floor, the two spaces will be combined by opening up the current load bearing party wall. The interior will be completely gutted and all new electrical, plumbing, and HVAC will be added. All interior finishes will be completely finished with the exception of the kitchen, which will be finished by any potential tenant. The space will offer a large bar and multiple food vendor booths. The second floor will have four loft-style residential units. The units will vary in size, but all will include in-unit laundry facilities, a living room area, kitchen, bathroom, and a distinct bedroom space. READI funds will be used for masonry/exterior work as well as doors/windows. The project will be complete by Q4 2025 with READI investment complete in Q1 2025.
