180 Makeover - LA Cafe Improvements

Overview

The LA Café project has many elements, some complete, that will enhance the ability of the café to serve people who come to the Whitestown core by car or using the Big 4 trail (walking or biking). The improvements already complete include the town’s investments in the trail and Main Street sidewalks (not counted as local match for this project – see Hattie’s), parking lot and ADA accessibility improvements, and outdoor dining enhancements. The READI project includes a walk-in cooler/freezer upgrade, new countertops, and bathroom renovations to continue to improve the café’s ability to serve a variety of customers in the community’s core, serving long-time Whitestown residents, new residents in the growth areas, and visitors. Matching investments have been/are committed by the owner of the café, Jessica Averitt. Approximate timeline is 3/1/24 to 12/31/24.
