Downtown Plaza (Bargersville)

Overview

The Downtown Plaza will be a central gathering space that will allow for large events, small social gatherings, and other programming and events that will bring people downtown. The Town has invested in improvements to its downtown in recent years. A key priority in continuing these efforts is enhancing amenities and providing spaces and programming to support downtown as a destination for entertainment, shopping, and community gathering. Land has already been acquired and preliminary plans have been designed for the space, which is adjacent to the railroad that runs through downtown. The Town intends to pursue a 2023 LWCF grant to assist the funding; however, the project will proceed regardless of LWCF award this round. The scope includes an arrival plaza, public restroom facility, event lawn, concrete pad for portable stage construction, and food truck parking spaces. The project is already in design, which will be completed in Q2 2023 and the construction will be completed in Q4 2025. READI funds will be used for construction, matched with public funds. There is no private match, the portfolio will cover the private match.
