Green Activities Center – a popular destination for large banquets and celebrations that will be incorporated into the historic complex. READI funds will be used for Site Development Costs and Engineering. The historic structure report identified several recommendations including replacement of the mechanical systems, installation of subsurface drainage to address water infiltration issues, repairs to the masonry, carpentry, plaster, woodwork, and stairs, and restoration of the windows as well as many of the interior finish treatments including flooring, doors, and blinds. Additionally, the report recommended relocating the gift shop, offices, museum items, & restroom to a Visitor's Center. All recommendations were made in accordance w/Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The Center will also feature a museum, theater room, classroom/meeting room, Harrison Presidential Mansion Office, gift shop, and public restrooms. Timeline: Jan '23-June '26.
