200W Sanitary Sewer Project/Riley Village Water Main Extension (NineStar)

Overview

The existing Philadelphia WWTP has capacity up to 5MGD and NineStar will be extending gravity and force main along 200W to connect the existing Sugar Creek WWTP to pump flows South, taking that aging system offline. In addition, and through READI funds, a sanitary collection system replacement project is expected to run concurrent with this project for the Riley Village subdivision to resolve I&I issues. The 200W sanitary sewer project will also allow for considerable growth along that corridor. The project is at over 90% design and permits have been submitted. Hancock County is contributing $6 million to the project. It is expected to go to bid by Q3 of 2023 with an 18-month final completion construction timeline. The Riley Village water main extension will combine the GEM water system with the Sugar Creek water system. The project will bring fire flow capacity along with higher quality water to the aging sugar creek system and residents of Riley Village. The project is also sized for anticipated growth in the unserved areas along the project path. The project is 100% designed and ready for construction with an anticipated start date of January 2023 with a 6-month final completed construction timeline. NineStar Connect will be funding this project.
